Please help doing 'reget' with wget

Please help doing 'reget' with wget

Hi!

I am trying to set up wget to download several sourcefiles in the
background while I browse on-line from time to time. I have put all
urls in a file and used the -i <file> argument, however I just cannot
make wget to do a 'reget' without either clobbering existing downloads
or leaving behind unfinished files. If I use the -c switch, completed
files get clobbered when wget is restarted and if I use -nc then
incomplete files are left behind.

I am probably not seeing the wood for the trees but please help!

My thanks in advance.
