LINUX->PPP->Worldnet?

LINUX->PPP->Worldnet?

Post by John S. Prat » Tue, 08 Oct 1996 04:00:00

Sending this via NETSCAPE and mac windows 95, LINUX PPP is not 100% yet.
Someone please help, I cannot take windows much longer!  Set up PPP as
provided with LINUX1.2.13 from info obtained from 'WURD' and LINUX docs.
The connection to the ISP appears to be okay.  Route table is fine,
ifconfig reports a PPP connection with the usual defaults pppd log
shows no errors, and the /etc/resolv.conf is correct.

Problem:  ping to remote ip addr returns 100% packet loss
          ping to local ip addr and the two nameservers works fine

I cannot test rlogin since I do not have an ip addr to a system with
that service.  Also, I am not getting any namesever help.

Please send email if this issue is old.

        Thanks in advance,
         jsp
P.S. Used to work for 'The Labs' when they were clear as a Bell and not
     just Lucent

I remember when 'The Labs' were clear as a Bell and not just Lucent.
