Is there an equivalent to linux "rdate" command in WinNT which can be
used to set the date according to a time daemon running on another
host?  Thanks.

rdate does not use ntp.  But in the end, it does the same thing.  If you
need *rdate*, I don't know if it's available for NT.  NT Resource kit
also has TIMESERV.

I just need something that will retrieve time from "timed" daemon running on
my Linux host and set it for my NT host.  Know if anything like that?

Did you try net time \\linuxserver /set ?

Maybe samba will pick this up on your linux  box.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I actually found a utility called TimeSync which
does the trick.  It can be found at: www.intsoft.com/products/timesync.  Only
$10.

The windows time sync command is "net time \\<servername> /s /y" and
this also works against samba servers. Otherwise there is an xntpd port
that works well.
