Hello ,
I have NIS running on 10 machines, with one server and 1 slave. The problem is, whenever i add a new user i have to update the maps manually, means running make in /var/yp. This problem comes also when a user changes the password on a client. The server doesnt update the clients and waits till i do the make.
How can I make it update the maps and push them to slaves whenever the passwd file is changed?

1. Problems updating NIS maps on 3.2.5
I have the following problem:
The NIS Server is running under 3.2.2. After I changed a NIS map
I can see these changes on all other machines (including some SGIs
) but on one RS6000 running 3.2.5. I checked all the obvious things
like "domainname", "ypwhich", ...
It's just that the old map is still in memory (checked by yppoll).
The only error I see is, if I try to fetch the map with ypxfr, after
creating /var/yp/DomainName:
#_001> ypxfr -d DomainName -h HostName amdnis
ypxfr: 1831-404 bind_to_server clntudp_create error
: RPC: 1832-019 Program not registered
Segmentation fault(coredump)
So what's going wrong ?
