hostnames instead of ip's in bind query log?

Post by rel » Sat, 29 Nov 2003 18:58:06

hello,

I would like to have BIND9.2.1 to write hostnames instead of
ip-addresses to the query log. Is this possible?
I have a reverse lookup set-up in bind

Or does somone knows about a parser that could do this?

regards,

1. Log: Files hostnames instead of IP

How can I get the log file to contain the hostnames rather than the
IP numbers. (I am running on SOLARIS). The system seems to be otherwise
able to resolve IP numbers into hostnames  using nslookup.

Thanks
Axel
