How can I setup *.asf streaming for Apache.

How can I setup *.asf streaming for Apache.

Post by Naoki Hond » Tue, 11 Jan 2000 04:00:00

Hi, I am a beginning Linux user.  (I have lots of NT experience).
I am having *.asf (Media Player) streaming problem while using Apache1.3.9
and Linux6.0 on a client machine.
I don't have a problem when streaming the same file from NT4 with IIS4
server.

Has anyone encountered this same problem or know what causes the  problem?
Or, is it a configuration problem with  Apache server?
Please let me know.
Best regards,

Naoki Honda

I apologize for this question.
When I upload using FTP client binary data transfer mode to server,
it was no problem at all.

Dear Naoki :

Try adding the mime type .asf into the mime.types file which will be located
in the sme directory where your current httpd.conf file resides.
