Hello all,
I will be getting a NIC card for my Linux machine soon and was wondering
if anyone has had experience with either the DEC 21041, 21040 or SMC
EtherPower cards.
everything on the Win95 machine, they don't openly support Linux. I
want a PCI card that uses little CPU and only needs to be 10BaseT. The
cable connection is only 10BaseT or I would go with 100.
3com seems to be the rage but the reports I've read about them go from
being the end all and be all to the worst card ever built.
Machine partiulars are Pent. 133 with 32mgs ram 2 - 1GB HDs, 2x Sony CD
(33a), 33.6 internal modem, Slackware Linux 2.029.
Any suggestions/comments are welcome.
Thanks much for any information.
