ident for masqed users (iptables)?

ident for masqed users (iptables)?

Post by FKer » Tue, 04 Mar 2003 16:03:11

I just switched to iptables from an ipchains setup. With ipchains I had to
use oident to allow masqed clients identd, for apps like mirc. The question
is, do I need oident (or similar) to allow my iptables masqed clients ident?
I thought iptables could handle this alone.

Possibly I have an iptables config error. I would just like to know if I
need a helper app such as oident for iptables.

Thanks for any info.
