Do I need to have X windows installed to use Netscape Navigtor?

Yes, you'll need X for netscape. But you could look into lynx, a text-mode
browser. No frames, no graphics, but simple and fast. I *like* it.

Yes, Netscape is an X application.  If you want a textual web browser,
check out lynx.

1. Having Problems Installing From DOS partition.

I tried to do minimum install but I keep getting errors.
I downloaded from ftp3.FreeBSD.org in dir 2.1.0-RELEASE:

bin
floppies

I put all the files on my DOS partition in c:\freebsd\bin and
c:\freebsd\floppies.

I created a boot floppy and boots fine and I do a novice install.
I used all the space for FreeBSD partition. After the install started
loading files it gives me an error:"Error Mounting /dev/wd0s1 on /dos
Invalid argument(22)" and then it says "Failed to load Root
distribution". After the error message I can no longer access my DOS
partition and so I have to reinstall DOS and tried several times again
but still the same error. I have 486/66 8MB Ram, ne2000 LAN card,
and 400MB IDE.

What am I doing wrong?
How do I keep my old DOS partition?
