The $PATH variable is used to find executables, not libraries.

Did you follow all the steps outlined in the documentation files which
came with Netscape?





1. Java for Netscape 3.0 doesn't work for me, either

A couple of people posted the CLASSPATH that they had to use.
Well, I added that, and LD_LIBRARY_PATH (which wasn't set) and still no
results!  I went to Sun's java applets page w/ no luck.

Can anyone tell me what else I can check??  I didn't know what the
mkfontdir stuff was about, so could someone fill me in there?

BTW, both Java and JavaScript are enabled, netscape is installed in
/usr/local/netscape, and CLASSPATH points to
