PPP and GLIBC

Post by Bret D. Hawkin » Wed, 25 Mar 1998 04:00:00

I just installed glibc and everything is working great with one exception.
I cannot get ppp to compile, even after downloading 2.3.3.  I still get lots
of conflicts between the Linux includes and the glibc includes.  Is this
a sign of problems with my glibc install?

Thanks,
Bret

Not necessarily.  It's the header files which are messed up.  I did the
cowardly thing and got a binary instead (I have no gusto for sorting this one
out...).   Most of the conflicts are withing the libc socket and the linux
kernel socket stuff, which seem to define a few return values slightly
different.   That's enough for a compiler to die.
