Very Computer

Sometimes my network card has very bad response time on my LAN (> 1000ms)
I need to do a "ifconfig eth0 down" and "ifconfig eth0 up" to come back to
normal values (<10ms)

Any idea where this problem comes from ?

What Linux version?
