Unable to start netstat Segmentation fault

Post by Richa » Tue, 19 Jun 2001 22:07:26

Hello I'm running RedHat6.2 and I can't run netstat.  I type netstat
in and the only thing that returns is 'Segmentation fault'  Sorry to
be so vague but that is all the info that it gives me.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

1. netstat Segmentation fault

I am working with kernel 1.0.9 and this problem also occured with
1.0.0, but when I attempt to "netstat" sometimes I get a segmdntation
fault after displaying one or two connections.  It isnt just once
either, it happens in runs, if I get it once, I will get it for the
next hour or so, or until I disconnect my SLIP connection.

not that big a deal obviously, but justowndering what it could be.

also, is there a better version of netstat around?  The version I
have is from an older distribution, a d doesnt have all the option
that other netstats' do.
