I've just set up a 2 PC Lan, one of which has a modem. I can
successfully connect to my ISP using the PC with the modem. I can use
the LAN, no problem (telnet/ping/mount etc). I've configured the
non-modem PC to use the modem-PC as the default gateway. However, I
can't see the 'net from the non-modem PC.
The ISP is using dynamic IP's, and I'm not using a firewall. The
non-modem PC is running RH5 and the modem-PC is using RH4.
Q: In RH5, I know that ip forwarding has to be enabled (by putting "1"
into /proc/net/ipv4/ip_forward). Does something similar have to happen
with RH4 ?
Also, given my setup, am I using the correct approach ?
Thanks in advance, Pete.
