Greetings all
I am looking into a way to make my two printers available on my little
LAN. I am looking into possibility of purchasing one of these small
LAN print servers off of Ebay. The one I am looking at is a Guslink
because of its Unix telnet setup utility. Does anyone use these types of
servers? How good are they? Or are they more trouble than they are
worth? The other thing I could do is make use of a couple LPT cards and
an old 486 that I have and try doing something with that. (The only
thing is is that I am limited on space.)
I am not sure which is the most economical thing to do. It would seem
that most printers are migrating to USB. Is there going to be a LAN
print server with USB on the market in the future? Does anyone have any
ideas where this is heading?
