pppd problem connecting: "unknown protocol received"

Post by Cory Hi » Sun, 12 May 1996 04:00:00

Hi, I have 1.2.13 running and I'm not able to get a good ppp connection.  It's
installed and runs, and I can connect pretty well, but when I do connect, I get
"unknown protocol recieved messages, and the ifconfig shown that it isn't
connected properly.
Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong?  I put in my config files in case that
would help.
Thanks,
Cory

I had exactly the same problem before I upgraded the kernel to 1.3.99
and pppd to 2.2.0f. Now the error message is gone and the connection
becomes pretty good.

Hope this helps.
