Hi,

I managed to setup PPTP connection between Linux server and Win 2k client.

                    Win 2k                                    LINUX RH 7.3

eth0   <---->              ppp0  <-------->   ppp0          <-------->   eth0

192.168.2.105/24    192.168.5.200/24    192.168.5.2/24           192.168.1.3

I can ping from both ends of tunnel eth0 interfaces but X-Win32 server not work over PPTP using xdmcp protocol?

If I not use PPTP tunnel and I change the IP on Win 2k eth0 to be in 192.168.1.0/24 network X-Win32 server manage to
connect well to Linux box.

I already changed and edited Xaccess and to Xservers allow all connections and not just 192.168.1.0 network.

Any hint please?

Any other VPN solution for X-Win32 server that work over NAT (D-link)   ?

Odd! Xwin32 (configured for XDMCP) works fine across pptp, ip/gre, ipsec
based tunnels at this end.

How did you configure XWin32 for XDMCP; Broadcast or Query? Xwin32 must be
configured to issue an XDMCP query (not broadcast) directly to the ip
address or FQDN of your linux box when using a tunnel. By default, broadcast
packets are not routed across tunnels.

If an XDMCP query does not work, then your problem is probably related to
one of the following:

1) routing tables
2) firewall related. xdmcp=port 177, X=port 6000
3) Misconfigured Xwin32

If all else fails, try using tcpdump to see where your connection is
failing.
