Hi..

I'm trying to interface my KPC-9612 to my RH7.1 Server.. I'm following the HOW-TO's but I get
various errors from loading modules to incorrect configuration files.. The HOW-TO's are from 1997
and 7.1 is Apr01. Can anyone give me the correct way to setup a KPC-9612 so HAM's can access
the server from over-the-air? Thanks!!

Hi Douglas:

After enabling AX25 stuff in the kernel did you compile newest AX25
utilities from http://hes.iki.fi/pub/ham/unix/linux/ax25/ ?

At miminum you need the newest:

libax25* files
ax25-tools*
ax25-apps*

There is HAM Linux mailing list on that same site and there could be
some hints on how to use AX25 with 2.4 kernel. AX25 howto is way
outdated.

I myself didn't try running AX25 on 2.4 kernel. I have it running on
2.2 kernel though so I can't give you any specific details.
