Hey Joel, thanks for the info, one quick question..

The linux boxes I talked about earlier, they use the "remote lpd
queue" to print right to the printer via hostname (the printers
JetDirect IP address), any thoughts...

I did try what you said and the script worked from one of our servers,
but the individual machines still have the problem.. :-)

whoa! I'm in over my head here :) I'll throw the question open..... All I
could do in this situation is to start reading the man/info page for the
remote queue options and try to alias/script that.
