Gibt es ein Kommando ?hnlich ipconfig unter Windows auch unter Linux? Ich m?chte
meine IP-Adresse ermitteln, nachdem ich eine Verbindung zum Internet aufgebaut
habe.

yes, yes, he should, he should. he'd probably really like an answer
though.

he wants to know what's the equivalent of 'ipconfig' in Linux in
order to get his ip address after login.

I don't want to misdirect him but isn't the answer 'ifconfig eth0'?
maybe also 'route -n'?

You are spot on.  The commands are /sbin/ifconfig <interface name> and most
likely /sbin/route -n.  You may also have to look at the /etc/resolv.conf file
to see what the DNS settings are set to as well.
