IP Masq - Specify IP to Masq as?

Is there any way short of kernel hacking to specify the
IP to use in IP masquerading? I've noticed in using ipfwadm
that it tends to use the eth0 ip, since that is more or less
the root ip for this system, rather than the ppp0 ip, which
is what it needs to do to work properly.

The IP_Masq FAQ seems to imply that I can leave this machine
part of the in-house network, using assigned ip #'s for
networks that are not on the Internet, while performing
ip masquerading through a link from this machine to the
Internet. Have I read this wrong?

Norm.

1. IP Masq'd Workstation to connect to IP Masq'd Workstation

I have setup my Linux Box with IPMasq. Everything runs fine from my win box
behind the proxy. Now I just encountered a problem. I have tried to connect
to an ftp server that is behind NAT server which are both on winboxs

I can't seem to connect to the FTP even when the FTP Client is set to
passive mode. Does anyone know whether there is anything I can do on my side
of the connection such as reconfiguring my Linux Box to fwd properly?
