I have my Linux box running DNS/Sendmail 8.6.9. It acts as the primary MX
for the subdomain. I have set up users on this box with the same IDs as on
the NW server. Using the alias capability of sendmail, ALL mail goes to the
NW box. You can also have the Mercury Gateway receive all mail and use it's
alias capability. That config would still require a Smart SMTP hub for
outbound SMTP mail, since NW cannot resolve names.
Check risc.ua.edu for ditribution of the Pegasus Mail Family.
