Very Computer

I am using 3C507s in my linux servers.  I am curretnly running Linux
2.0.18.  When transfering files over 64K, the card shutsdown. The syslog
shows the followin message:

 kernel: eth0: Rx unit stopped, status 5220, restarting.

ifconfig provides the following info for the card:

eth0      Link encap:10Mbps Ethernet  HWaddr 00:60:8C:5A:D3:1B
          inet addr:207.100.76.97  Bcast:207.100.76.127  
Mask:255.255.255.224
          UP BROADCAST RUNNING  MTU:1500  Metric:1
          RX packets:42599 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0
          TX packets:43378 errors:208 dropped:0 overruns:0
          Interrupt:5 Base address:0x300 Memory:d0000-e0000--

Any Clues?

Sorry, no clues, but my 3c507 behaved in the same way. The transfer rate of
large
files had very large variations and the log filled with messages.
I changed ethercard and the problems went away. I used kernel 1.2.13 at that
time.
