Which driver for nic D-Link 10/100 model DFE-530TX REV-A3

Hello everybody,

I try to get the RIGHT nic driver for a D-Link 10/100 model DFE-530TX REV-A3
I can see 2 chips on that PCI board.

1) DL10030A (is it a D-Link proprietary chip ?)
2) LSI  L80225/B   T 0018   WHC18003

So, which driver I must use ?

1) RealTek RTL8129/8139
2) Tulip
3) VIA Rhine (VT86C100A and 3043)

I have not seen info about this board (rev A3) on www.scyld.com

I run the kernel version 2.2.16

Thank in advance for your help

I've come across this before, posted by the other user.
Looks like Via Rhine is the choice.

All the best

Which driver for nic D-Link 10/100 model DFE-530TX REV-A3

Hi there

The Via-Rhine drivers are used for that board. If the ones in the Kernel
don't work with this new revision - like R2, try the new code patches from
sycld.com

If that fails, get in touch with Donald Becker and ask him nicely for some
spangly new drivers for the new board. I expect the R2 drivers will work
though

1. D-Link DFE-530tx Rev A-1 and DFE-530tx Rev D2

Freebsd ver 4.0 and 4.3   the Rev A-1 board is recognized (pci) perfect.

the Rev D2 board is a PIA.. I did manange to foolaround with the
/usr/src/sys/pci/if_vrreg.h file and get it

to been seen but then the MAC addr comes back all zeros ??

is there anyway to get this new board to work..

I did note on the rev D the  Vendor ID = 1106  the product 1186   1300
0200

on the old one ( rev A ) the product something like  3043..

anyhelp would be great..

this took me way to long to find..

code fixes ?? any tricks ??

Terry
