When running Nmap against my Linux machine I find that among other
services, sunrpc and X services are listening. How do I shut these services
down? I've hashed out sunrpc in /etc/services but there is no entry for X
(running on 6000 I believe) and even though sunrpc is hashed it still
appears on a scan. Thanks in advance.

1. Closing down sunrpc on port 111
I went through /etc/inetd.conf and commented out everything. However, when
I ran nmap 2.5.3 against my IP, it stills says that sunrpc on port 111 is
open.
Does anyone know which configuration files are involved?
