I managed to get AT&T worldnet services up and running! Here are the
files I used.

                                /etc/ppp/options

# /etc/ppp/options -----------------------------------------
#
/dev/ttyS1
38400
crtscts
modem
lock
mru 296
escape 0xff
asyncmap 0x200a0000
defaultroute
domain worldnet.att.net

-pap
#chap
connect '/usr/sbin/chat -f /etc/ppp/ppp-connect
# end of /etc/ppp/options -----------------------------------

replace the xxxxxxxxx with the name from your reg.ini file.
the next file has only one line:

                               /etc/ppp/ppp-connect

'' ATZ OK ATM1L3 ATDT4180357 CONNECT

                               /etc/ppp/chap-secrets

# Secrets for authentication using CHAP
# Client                        server  secret                  IP

The xxxxxxxxx is the same as the name in the ppp-connect file.
and the info in the quote is the password from the reg.ini file,
make sure you double quote the string. Also if you have a default
route in your netstat -r remove it with a route del default.

I think that's everything, send me email if you need help. And I
actually have to give the credit for getting this working to all
the people who sent out their messages. Unfortunately since I
switched from windows I don't know who they are anymore.
