happens. (and before you guys ask yap i can hear my pcmcia modem dial out)

im using kppp to dial out and rp3-something.

Case your pcmcia card really works with Linux, I would frist try
wvdial, from 'man wvdial':

wvdial - PPP dialer with built-in intelligence.

1. ISP connection problems

I have RH 5.2 and am trying to connect to my ISP.  What happens is the modem
will dial and "talk" to the other modem, then after a few minutes the modem
will redial.  In the space between the modem dialing and then redialing my
PPP connection is inactive causing Netscape to cease functioning.  I don't
understand what has gone wrong.  The connection used to work, but then it
just stopped functioning.  I have tried using 'netcfg' and I have tried
using 'Kppp' which gives me the error "the pppd daemon died unexpectedly'.
If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate them.

Thank You
(please send any replies via e-mail as well)
