Anyone got libc5.4.44 to compile with NYS support?

I keep getting errors in the sys headers that are
included saying the stddef.h cannot be found (duhh,
'cause it isn't in /usr/include).

Better yet, does anyone know where I can get
binaries with NYS support?

I need NYS support for NIS w/shadow passwords.

Slackware 3.4/kernel 2.0.33
gcc 2.7.2.3

at last check, linux libc doesn't support NIS shadow passwords. I had to
upgrade to glibc, which isn't as much fun as it sounds...

Help: Libc5.4.44 and NYS/NIS
