Can anyone tell me a portable method (i.e. not by reading /proc/net/*)
for a user process to ascertain what port number the kernel has allocated
(i.e. the local port number) for a socket connected to a remote host?

Any help appreciated,

chris

1. Flexfax -- "Can not find port number for 'fax' service" -- ???

I just installed Flexfax 2.2.2pl1 on my system, and I got it compiled and installed and the
faxd server is running.  However, whenever I run faxstat or sendfax I get the above error.
What is wrong?  Do I need to edit /etc/services?

Please reply by E-mail.
