Hi,

Red Hat 4.2 acting as an NFS server to several SunOS/Solaris boxes.
Occasionally produces the following message:

nfs_stat_to_errno: bad nfs status return value: 116

Has anyone else seen this?

Thanks,

Paul.

1. bad nfs status return value: 116

Hi,

Running Linux 2.0.29 from time to time this error message appears...

kernel: nfs_stat_to_errno: bad nfs status return value: 116

along with strange files '.nfsNNNNNNNNNNN' where each N is a random number.
It looks like other files are renamed to the .nfs file randomly.

Can anyone please explain what's wrong here ?

TIA,

Frank
