Hi,

i want to know what i have to install on my pc to be able to connect to my machine by telnet and ftp anywhere i am in the world.
My pc has a 56k modem. I want it to respond to a call, ask a login and pass and establish the connection.

You might want to look into the "mgetty" package if you are hoping to dial in
to your machine, otherwise you will want to load the telnet-server and wu-ftpd
server onto your system to allow incoming connections to be granted.

The Linux Documentation Project has a Red Hat Mini ISP HOWTO, that covers
what you want. I used it here and it works well.
