Whenever I shutdown/reboot my system with my Alcatel Speedtouch USB plugged
in my system freezes when sending all processes the TERM signal. When it is
disconnected or the network simply disabled with rcnetwork stop before
anually, the system shuts down smoothely. This does only happen with the
latest kernel 2.6.5-7.95-smp and with the older -7.75-smp. When I revert to
2.6.4-52-smp from the installation dvd it shuts down ok but I get random
freezes with a kernel panic which might or might not be a different issue.
The dsl does however work perfectly otherwise.

Wenn ich mein System herunterfahre oder neustarte friert mein Rechner bei

Alcatel Speedtouch USB eingest?pselt ist. Ist das Modem entst?pselt bzw.
das Netzwerk manuell mit rcnetwork stop vorher abgeschaltet, f?hrt der
Rechner sauber runter. DSL (pppoam mit BT Internet) funktioniert ansonsten
absolut problemlos. Problem tritt auf mit Kernel Version 2.6.5-7.95-smp und
trat auf mit 2.6.5-7.75-smp. 2.6.4-52-smp von der Installations-DVD f?hrt
zwar sauber runter, aber ich bekomme dafr kernel panic Abstrze w?hrend
des Betriebes, was ebensogut ein v?llig anderes Problem sein k?nnte. Kann
jemand helfen?
