I'm having the same problem on 1.2.13 compiling ppp-2.2.0c

Let me know if you find a fix.

My problem in building the kernel was simply that the kinstall script renamed my
ppp_defs.h file to ppp_defs.old.h and added a new file.
After changing the new file to the old one, the kernel compiled just fine

        I have just recently attempted to install pppd 2.2.0e on Linux
kernel 1.2.11.  I followed the documentation for installing the newest
ppp code into the kernel, but now I'm left with a kernel which doesn't
build.  Is there some trick I've missed?  Do I have to upgrade to
