I have full control of our registered primary (master) DNS.
I would like to update the primary from another machine using the
new(er) BIND feature that allows updating of DNS Resource Records.
I do NOT want to use any other pay/free dyndns service. I would like
use a program to allow updates to my primary DNS with an (A)ddress
record from a machine who's external interface is defined dynamically
by my isp.
I could examine the rfc's and write my own (as I am a C/C++/Perl)
programmer, but would hate to re-invent the wheel.
I have seen utilities to update public dyndns servers but am unsure if
they properly implement the standard/documented ietf's protocol:
http://www.ietf.org/html.charters/dnsind-charter.html
Is anyone aware of such a util?
