PPP WITH A 10 DIGIT NUMBER!

PPP WITH A 10 DIGIT NUMBER!

Post by The Banshe » Sat, 10 May 1997 04:00:00

Alright I live in the grand state of maryland, as you MIGHT know they
have made their local calls 10 digits long instead of 7. Now I edited
ppp-on and ppp-on dialer to suite these numbers...but guess what! It
dials 7 numbers and gives me a busy signal! what is up with
that?!?!?!!?!?

PPP WITH A 10 DIGIT NUMBER!

Why not try dialing the identical 10 digit number by hand and see if the
phone company is giving you a busy signal after the first 7?  There's
nothing inherent in chat, ppp, or the modem that dictates the number of
digits you can dial......
