Synchronous PPP? and ISDN Connection

Synchronous PPP? and ISDN Connection

Post by Michael An » Fri, 21 Jul 1995 04:00:00

I am trying to connect with my service provider through a 64k line.

They have told me that my system has to support Synchronous PPP.

I am running off of a standalone linux box, with a M5000T Norther Telecom Terminal Adapter.

I am just wondering if the Linux PPPD support Synchronous PPP?
and if so, how I am to go about setting it to Synch PPP.

Thanks in Advance.
Mike.

1. Synchronous PPP? and ISDN?

I am trying to connect to my Internet service provider via 64kbps line.

They have informed me that my system must support synchronous PPP.
I am just wondering if Linux's PPP daemon actually does support
synchronous PPP and if so, how I would go about setting it up?

I have numerous mentions of asynch ppp, but none of synch ppp.

I am running off of a standalone linux box, and an M5000T terminal
adapter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Mike.
