Hi,

Does anyone know of a Linux-version of Windows Commander? Using Midnight
Commander I'm not able to read the long filenames. I'm using RH 6.1 and
6.2

Thanks,

Huub

Midnight Commander has no problem reading LFNs. You're probably loading
dos support (in your kernel or as a module) instead of vfat.

I asked christian ghisler a few days ago, if he is thinking about
providing a version for linux. His anwer:

"Windows Commander is written in Delphi, so
I am waiting for the release of Delphi for Linux to port it
to Linux. There are already some commanders on Linux, e.g.
Midnight Commander (mc), X Northern Captain (xnc) or one for
kde: see http://www.veryComputer.com/

Best regards

Christian Ghisler"
