Problem installing WaveLAN Silver Card with ISA Adapter

Post by thoma.. » Wed, 14 Jun 2000 04:00:00

Hi,

I recently purchased the WaveLAN Silver Card with ISA Adapter. I cannot
get my Linux to regconize the card. After I compiled and installed the
driver provided by WaveLAN, I used cardctl restart and I got the
following message:

unsupported card in socket 0
product info: "Lucent Technologies", "WaveLAN/IEEE", "Version 01.01", ""
manfid : 0x0156, 0x0002 function: 6 (network)

Does anyone know what I did wrong?

Regards,
Thomas Lo

1. Adding a Wavelan ISA adapter and wireless card

I am trying to add a Wavelan ISA Adapter and wireless card to a Compaq
Presario 4716 running Redhat Linux 6.2.  I have download the pcmcia-cs-3.1.8
and pcmcia-cs-3.1.16 with the lucent drivers wavelan2_cs-6.00.

The compile and stall run fine, but when I reboot I get the messages below.

Any ideas??
Thanks
Mike
