netatalk instable

netatalk instable

Hi,

I have installed SUSE 7.0 Prof. Netatalk was running stable for several
weeks. Since I've installed a new Network-card (with 10/100 Mbit,
Via-rhine) and a new SCSI-card (Advance 2911u), netatalk is instable.

The file "messages" shows this:

Can someone help me? Where's the problem?

1. Unstable netatalk

I've installed and started using netatalk on my Linux box. Besides its
relative slowness, the biggest problem is my Mac once in every while
loses connection to the Linux server. Once the connection is lost,
neither afpd nor papd is visible from Mac's Chooser. Killing all netatalk
processes and re-invoking them is no help and the only way to recover
connection seems to reboot the Linux box (thus netatalk starts before
IP starts), which is, of course, very unacceptable.

Has anyone had the same experience and hopefully solved it?

Regards,
hiro
