by I'm having some trouble figuring out what's wrong with my nntpd/cnews setup, and maybe
somebody knows what to look for.
I don't have any 'feed' as of yet, I'm just trying to set up for local groups now.
I got the nntpd server to talk, I can successfully (on the surface) post, as I get a new
file in /var/spool/news/in.coming
However, if I run newsrun to try and place it in the proper directory(newsgroup) the file
vanishes.
I'm guessing it's related to 1) my newsgroup/active file, 2) some screwy file permissions,
3) or something else.
This is my first shot at setting up a cnews/nntpd server...it's been fun so far(!)

hot pink with whale skin hub-caps and all leather cow interior and big brown baby seal
eyes for headlights. Yeah and I'm gonna drive around in that baby at 115 miles per hour
getting one mile per gallon, sucking down Quarter Pounder cheese burgers from McDonalds
in the old fashioned, non-biodegradible styrofoam containers and when I'm done suckn'
down those greaseburgers I'm gonna wipe my mouth on the American flag and then I'm gonna
toss those styrofoam containers right out the side and there ain't a god-damned thing you
can do about it, you know why? Cause we got the bombs that's why.
