serial link - null modem - Linux <-> WIN95

Post by Frere Ro » Wed, 28 Aug 1996 04:00:00

     I would like to connect our Linux server to another  machine running
WIN95
 using a null modem cable to our Linux server in close proximity.

Everything is configured on the Win95 side, null modem driver, etc. but now
I need to know how to tell Linux that it must listen for a direct cable
link on the serial port.

The Linux machine has a 8 way multi serial port card and has 2 modems
attached. I have, therefore 6 empty serial sockets. The resulting setup
must allow a PPP link from the Win95 machine.

I look forward to any help that can  be provided.

Thanks, fr. Roy
