I've got a problem with the configuring my Kernel-IP-Forward Filters.
I use IPFWADM 1.3.
A configuartion like ipfwadm -F -a reject -S 192.168.100.2 -D
193.120.241.2 works fine. But there is a problem, if i trying to use
Network-adresses as Source or Detination, like ipfwadm -F -a reject
192.168.200.0 -D 193.120.241.0 . If i try to ping from any host in
192.168.200.0 to any host in 193.120.241.0 it works. Whats the problem.
Please let me know.
Has anyone experiences with setup the Kernel-IP-Forwarding-rules. I've
heard there are some bugs in Kernel 1.2.*. It's right ? (and if so, which
kind of bugs ?)

1. dynamic IP; updating port forwarding rules
i use demand dialing for a ppp connection (ppp0) to the net for a local
lan (eth0)
for napster uploading to work I run the following to forward the ports:
its a script that first
gets the EXTNETADDR from ifconfig ppp0
then forwards using
ipmasqadm portfw -a -P tcp -L $EXTNETADDR 6700 -R192.168.0.3 6700
it works fine
how do I re-run it automatically every time it reconnects (often) on
demand?
(not a dedicated phone line)
either:
by the linux box sensing the reconnect
or
by having the lan host run a script through telnet before running
napster
(ifconfig doesn't run on telnet)
