I have set up my Linux (Kernel v 2.0.25) as a Diskless Client.
For this, I first installed Linux on the local HD of a PC. Then I
mounted the nfs drive from my Solaris 2.5.1 server where I want to
install my diskless client and made copy of the hole root filesystem
on it. At least, I changed the root device in the kernel with rdev and
brougth the kernel on a floppy with dd.
This works as far as well. Linux boots from the server with RARP
without any errors. But when the login prompt should appear, the init
process changes his level to 6 (reboot) and shut down (without any error
message too).
I can't find out why the system does a shutdown itselfs immediatly after
comming up.
Has anyone an idea about this funny behavior?
Are there known nfs-problems between Linux and Solaris (NFS V3)?
Thanks in advance
