Very Computer

Hi.
I am currently logged on to a terminal directly connected to the ethernet.
I would like to access a machine not connected to the ethernet but which
has a fax/modem. I usually log int this machine through a SLIP type
connectin with the Linux dip program (when I dial up a dynamically
allocated IP address is given to me).

I also intend to transfer files from here to the modem-connected machine.

How can I accomplish this?
