hi out there
how can i configure apache to work together with dhcp ?
i got suse linux 7.0, 2 networkcards ( dfe530TX with static ip for LAN and
de220 with dhcp for wan )

2. question
i got the possibility to retrieve 2 ip's from the dhcp. i heard that linux
should be able to handle more than one ip per networkcard. ??

any suggestions about some FAQ's ?

1. Configure Apache w/dhcp client

I am not sure exactly what I need to do or where to look.  Any pointers
would be greatly appreciated.

I have my laptop running Linux RH6.0 configured with a fixed IP address
and I can run Apache and it seems to function properly and netscape has
access to my html files.  I have my pcmcia Network interface configured
so it is using scheme and have my lilo configured so I can select either
my home connection which uses a fixed IP or a work connection for use at
one of my clients which uses the DHCP client.

I have tested the DHCP client and it is working properly, but it seems
that if I remove the fixed ip pointing to host linuxnote from /etc/hosts
then apache fails to start because I believe it cannot find the hostname
- or at least it say it cannot find the host and to use servername to
set.  At any rate what I am trying to find out is what configuration
changes and/or how do I accomplish having apache work at home on a fixed
IP address and also have it work at my clients when I am using my
notebook as a DHCP client.

Any pointer and/or references to HOW-Tos will be greatly appreciated.
