I was getting the following error dumped whenever someone would log in:
clnttcp_create: RPC: Port mapper failure - RPC: Unable to receive
i disabled ypbind and rpc.portmap, but i forgot to edit /etc/passwd and
/etc/group and remove the "+:*:0:0::" entry. now no problems!
