Hi all,
I have just installed rh5.0 on my comp. I set up ppp to dial in to my
isp supplier and the ppp link works. However the dns doesn't find any
hosts on the internet.
when I ping my isp it finds it. when I ping any other host it doesn't.
What's wrong?

Check to make sure you have your isp's nameserver ip in /etc/resolv.conf and that you have a line in /etc/nsswitch.conf
that reads hosts: files dns and all should be fine

Sounds like you DNS entries are either incorrect, or you may be a
number off.

Have you "triple" checked your DNS entries? Because if you can ping
your ISP, but no one else, that sounds typical of similar problems
I've ran into, where the address was either wrong or entered
incorrectly.
