NFS service not responding

NFS service not responding

Post by Minbo Shi » Tue, 02 Nov 1999 04:00:00

Hello,

I am trying to mount a filesystem exported by a Linux box running
RH 6.0 to a UNIX box running Solaris 2.7. The /etc/exports file
on the Linux NFS server looks like the following:

/space *.our.domain(rw,insecure,no_root_squash)

I was able to mount the file system from other Linux-based clients,
but not from the Unix system. I am getting "NFS service not respoding"
message from the Unix client as follows:

nfs mount: dragon: NFS service not responding
nfs mount: retrying: /mnt

Ping/telnet to the server (dragon) were fine.

Thank you for your help in advance.
