Hello

I'm trying to connect to the internet via kppp (pppd) and modem

There's a routing porblem. Kppp isn't able to set the default route.
When i look at the kernle route table just after booting it looks like
this

192.168.0.1     0.0.0.0         255.255.255.255 UH    0      0        0

There's one (working) network (ethernet).
I think the default route is busy????!!
What's sl0???

When i delete by hand the laste entry
 route del 0.0.0.0

then connection works fine and the routing tabel after the connectio is
this

Please help

I'm using SuSe 5.3 and Kernel 2.0.35
