Very Computer

I've got problems installing smail (latest version) on my Linux-PC (v.1.1.68).
I'm using SLIP connecting to the University Of Stuttgart. When I connect to
this server, I get a variable Internet address rusxppp??.rus.uni-stuttgart.de
?? is a number from 1 to 15.
The mail-server at university is   inf.informatik.uni-stuttgart.de

Now my questions:

        1. How should I call my PC (in /etc/HOSTNAME) ?
        2. Can I configure smail to generate mail-headers like

           university) ?
        3. How can I persuade smail to accept incomg mail (not possible yet) ?
